The foundation is inspired by Mr. Ramchander Nath, a multi-facetted personality. A true connoisseur of the arts – he was a restorer of vintage cars; collector of paintings, sculptures, pens and watches; was fond of Sufiana music and Urdu poetry and enjoyed reading autobiographies.
He was always keen on sharing his expertise, especially with the younger generation as he believed that only then knowledge would flow perennially --from one generation to the next.
He dreamt of establishing an institute that would provide a holistic education in the arts; especially restoration and maintenance.
The institute would also provide a common platform for the esttablished and the young artists. This would enable soft-knowledge transfer, which no book or curriculum can provide.
